Together, we’ll continue serving our communities with the same care, respect and commitment that define both banks—because we’re truly stronger together.
The Morris Bank team and branches are expected to begin operating under a new combined name and brand alongside Pinnacle Bank in the second quarter of 2026. Until then, we will continue banking as usual.
Pinnacle Financial Corporation is a $2.3 billion asset, single bank holding company headquartered in Elberton, Georgia. Chartered in 1934, Pinnacle Bank has offices in 17 counties of Georgia. Pinnacle is a locally-owned, independent community bank, offering a wide range of personal and business financial services. To learn more about products and services, including specialized offerings for all customers, visit www.pinnaclebank.com.
The opportunity presented itself for Morris Bank and Pinnacle Bank to join and grow a combined footprint, serving as the largest community bank in the state of Georgia. With both banks having a rich history of similar core values, strong community support, and friendly service, it was the right move to expand resources and growth opportunities for current and future customers.
Because both banks operate in different parts of the state with no overlap, you will still be able to conduct business at any of the current Morris Bank branches. Once the banks combine in 2026, this will allow for expanded capabilities for customers and bank branch locations throughout the state under a new brand name.
Morris Bank and Pinnacle Bank are committed to making this as seamless of a transition as possible for all customers. As of now, we will be conducting business as usual with no adjustments to your account(s).
You will continue to use the same checks, cards and accounts as you always have, with the continued use of Morris Bank branches, ATMs, and mobile and online banking to serve your banking needs.
During the transitional period, you will have full access to all your deposit accounts and banking services, with all accounts remaining insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to the maximum extent permitted by law.
As we work to combine our two companies, we will continue to process loan applications, fund commitments, service loans, and serve you in the same manner without interruption. Please continue your relationship with your current lender, customer service representative, teller team member, and all other Morris Bank associates.
Yes, you should continue to make payments to the same account number and mailing address per the terms of your loan agreement(s).
The projected timeline for the partnership to be completed is the first quarter of 2026. Details of the new bank name will be announced prior to the closing of the transaction. Stay tuned!
Both Morris Bank and Pinnacle Bank have strong ties to the local markets and provide a great amount of support to their communities. This will continue to be a priority as the banks merge and expand their footprint.
Fraudsters are always looking to seize the opportunity to strike, and this partnership will create a name change. Please be careful to ensure any correspondence, email, or phone calls that you receive are valid. Neither Morris Bank nor Pinnacle Bank will reach out to verify your account information. As a rule of thumb, if you are unsure of the validity of a call or text, it is best to hang up and call the bank directly at 888.272.5202.
