Larry Walker holds a BBA degree from The University of Georgia Terry College of Business, is a Certified Insurance Counselor, and maintains a Georgia Insurance License. He is President and CEO of Walker Insurance Agency in Perry, Georgia, which he founded in 1996, and the statewide Marketing Manager for Health Care Mutual Captive Insurance Company.
Elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2015, he represents Senate District 20, which includes all of Bleckley, Laurens, Pulaski Counties and most of Houston County. In addition to his Senate committee assignments, he is an Administration Floor Leader for Governor Nathan Deal.

Along with his business and political accolades, Larry stays very involved in his community. He is an active member of the Perry United Methodist Church, serves on the Museum of Aviation Foundation Board, and the Board of ComSouth. Larry is past Chairman of the Perry Downtown Development Authority and past Vice Chairman of the Houston County Development Authority. He is past president of the Perry Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow and was named Perry Rotarian of the Year in 2004 and again in 2008.
Larry resides in Kathleen with his wife, Adrienne, and they have three sons, Ben, Cody (married to Morgan Schubert), and Wade.
