Morris Bank Presents Fundraising Check to Kid's Cup

Morris Bank recently presented a check for $2,893.60 to the Kid’s Cup community closet in Dublin. These funds were raised during the annual Shamrock Your Ride event, hosted by Morris Bank during this year’s St. Patrick’s festivities.

“We are so thrilled to be the recipient of these funds,” says Janice Nazerian, a lead volunteer and co-founder of Kid’s Cup. “When we first opened our doors in October 2021, we could not have imagined the love and support that we have received from our community and from donors like Morris Bank. This ministry exists to fill the hearts and emotional cups of hurting children with love, hope, peace, and joy and to take the burden of providing physical needs from guardians. We are so grateful for the warm welcome from our community and the support that has allowed us to grow and serve over 300 children and families in our first six months.”  

Kid’s Cup is a local community closet in Dublin created to serve foster and kinship families, as well as biological families in crisis. This ministry provides clothing, toys, books, toiletries, school supplies, and more completely free of charge. Families shop by appointment through referrals from partnering agencies. All new and gently used items are donated from the community and are available to these children in a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Kid’s Cup is a ministry of Faith in Families Inc. and Widow’s Oil Ministry Inc.

“Each year we look forward to our Shamrock Your Ride event to see first-hand how our community’s fundraising efforts go to benefit a local organization here in Laurens County,” says Roger Miller, Market President at Morris Bank. “Our employees nominate and vote on the donation recipient, and we’ve certainly enjoyed learning more about Kid’s Cup through this year’s event. Janice and her team have created such a unique and moving experience for these participants, and we’re fortunate to have this resource here in Dublin.”
